500 travel professions to attend Rio
Around 500 travel industry professionals are expected to attend a "destination showcase" in Rio de Janeiro this year.
Brazil’s tourism institute, Embratur, has announced that it expects decision makers of the leisure and business travel industry from "primary markets" around the globe to attend the fourth edition of Destination Brazil Showcase between June 16th and 17th.
Described as a "unique tourism business opportunity" the event has previously included special "inspection trips" that have brought over 800 hosted buyers from the world’s "most important markets", such as the US and Europe.
After attending, Embratur reports that 64 per cent of delegates report to have started selling Brazil’s new destinations and travel products.
The Brazilian Incoming Travel Organisation hosts the event in partnership with Embratur and the two promote Brazil’s ecotourism opportunities as well as its culture, sun and beaches.
Destination Brazil Showcase tickets will be on offer to all hosted buyers, international and domestic aviation operators, hoteliers and professional tour operators.
The event will focus on destinations in the Latin American nation such as Lençois Maranhenses, Delta do Parnaiba, Iguassu Falls, Pantanal, Bahia, Fernando de Noronha, Paraty and Angra dos Reis as well as many others.
