Brazil embarks on a two year trade push with the Middle East
Brazil is embarking on a two-year-long trade push with the Middle East, after being advised this should be its target market for exports.
The Central Exportaminas programme highlighted the Middle East as the best gateway for Brazilian exports and will now help entrepreneurs trade with this region, reports Brazilian Arab news agency ANBA.
Director of the Central Exportaminas programme, Jorge Duarte de Oliveira, told the agency: "The Middle East is a growing market…[it is] more of a buying market."
He added: "Minas Gerais has lots of potential in the foodstuff sector, but the number of exporters is still low. We want to increase the number of exporter companies and of export products."
Brazil aircraft manufacturer Embraer is having no problem exporting its aircraft to the worldwide aviation market.
Earlier this month, Embraer announced that Finnair has added another three jets to its order.
This brings the order’s total value up to £56.25 million and the 190 aircraft are due to be delivered by 2010.
