Brazil hits NYC
All things Brazilian will be celebrated in New York on Sunday (August 31st) as the nation’s tourism office holds the publicity stunt, it has been reported.
Brazilian property could benefit from the event, which aims to promote the nation as a tourist attraction to New Yorkers.
Among the attractions will be a week-long photography exhibition displaying work from award-winning travel journalist Peter Guttman.
Jeanine Pires, president of the tourist board, told Brazzil Magazine: "The beauty of Brazil and the Brazilian culture is often best displayed through art – whether it’s photography or music."
She offered an extended invitation to all living in the city to join in and "experience the beauty and passion of the Brazilian people" through the events.
It was reported by the publication last week that the Brazilian Tourism Institute predicts the number of tourists visiting the nation is set to increase from its level of five million.
