Brazil hosts regional pharmacy fairs
Those looking at property for sale in Brazil could be interested to hear a pharmaceutical industry fair will be held in Rio de Janeiro next month, bringing with it thousands of the industry’s professionals.
A twin launch of the CPhI South America pharma ingredients and P-MEC machinery and equipment exhibitions debuting in the region will take place from August 19th to 21st.
The events will be held at Brazil’s newest convention facility – the Centro de Convencoes Sulamerica at Cidade Nova – from 13.00 to 20.00 local time.
More than 160 of the industry’s organisations have booked a place at the exhibition and the shows have been sold out for months, according to the organisers.
Eliane van Doorn, CMPi pharma portfolio group director, said: "Brazil is the natural host for the latest regional debuts.
"Brazil enjoys a strong and growing presence by international market-leading companies [and] is a key regional manufacturing centre."
It was reported by the Wall Street Journal’s MarketWatch last month that flight restrictions between the Latin American nation and the US have been lifted.
