Brazil increases export target
Those interested in Brazil real estate might like to know the Latin American nation has upped its export target for the year, it has been reported.
A statement released by the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIFT) revealed this week the nation has increased its target to $202 billion (£100 billion), according to the Brazil Arab News Agency (ANBA).
The previous target set in July stood at $190 billion and the expansion represents growth of more than one-quarter (25.7 per cent), according to the ANBA.
Welber Barral, executive foreign trade secretary at the MDIFT, is cited by the agency as saying: "This is an ambitious target, as we hope that the average of exports from September to December is higher than that of the last four months."
The report notes From January to August, the export average was $16.84 billion and the forecast for September to December is $17.78 billion.
Meanwhile, in other news which could be of interest to investors considering Brazilian property it was reported by the ANBA last week that more than 35,000 visitors were expected to attend an oil industry conference in Rio.
