Brazil is ’surprise investment for 2009′
Brazil has been picked as the surprise option for investment this year, with one commentator saying it has good potential.
Ceri Jones, writing for Interactive Investor, says recent developments in the country have led to it being a likely stock market investment option.
The commentator states the country is now less reliant on exports and so represents a safer market.
Fiona Morrison, investment manager at Aberdeen Asset Management, says initially the Brazil may seem like an unusual option.
However, she states "if you drill down and look at the market as a whole there are many good opportunities".
Ms Jones states the country’s rating to investment grade has been seen as an important step in the potential of Brazil.
Brazil property could be one area of potential investment, after it was revealed by Paul Collins, property editor of the Buy Association, that the government is doing all it can to encourage investment in the Brazil.
