Brazil named as leading property location
A real estate expert has named Brazil as one of the leading locations for property investment this week.
Maurice Elst, managing director of International Realty Group which deals in Portuguese property, explained this week that strong competition from countries, like Brazil, offering the popular cocktail of sun and the beach have caused problems in Portugal where development prices are rising.
He told the International Herald Tribune: "It looks as if the world of resort real estate and second homes is opening up completely."
"There are many new countries coming in," added Maurice.
Last month a property investment publication advised its readers to avert their attention away from the US property market and buy in Brazil.
According to Goldseek.com’s Latin American correspondent, money is "flowing into Brazil", making it a prime location for property investors looking to make a good return on their real estate.
The website’s comments were backed up by FedEx economist Kellie Maske who tipped Brazil as one of the "most dynamic" economies for growth potential last month.
