Brazil real estate ‘presents good opportunity’
Emerging markets in Latin America – such as the Brazilian property sector – present a "very good window of opportunity", it has been reported.
According to Private Equity Real Estate (PERE), JE Robert Companies claimed real estate fund managers could take advantage as the region goes under a re-pricing as a result of the credit crunch.
Michael Pralle, president and chief operating officer of the firm, told the PERE Forum in New York: "Now it’s being re-priced, and coupled with the long term prospects in that part of the world, it’s a very attractive opportunity."
Over the course of the next six to eight months, the region’s property market offers the "best investment opportunity of our lifetime", he added.
Meanwhile, BuyAssociation reported last week that Brazil is in a healthier position to emerge from the global economic crisis than other developed nations.
The firm advised Brazilian property investors that it is vital to obtain a good agent to help find a suitable home.
