Brazilian government is encouraging buyers
The Brazilian government is doing all it can to encourage people to buy property in the country and fuel tourism.
According to the BuyAssociation, Brazil is currently attracting a lot of investment and people looking for holiday homes.
Paul Collins, property editor of the website, says tourism is the main attraction of the country but that now goes hand-in-hand with ‘residential tourism’, leading to people buying property in Brazil.
He adds: "People buy property and that attracts tourists there as well."
Mr Collins states the government is currently doing what it can to encourage developers to build in the country.
However, he states they are doing it in a controlled way, not allowing people to "build anywhere and build anything".
British buyers are attracted to Brazil’s diverse landscape, rich culture, idyllic climate and affordability, according to the Buy Association.
Reports have been revealed that costs of £5 per sq m are available in the country, meaning a 1,000 sq m site would cost £20,000.
