Brazilian hotels to ‘reach global market’
One of Latin America’s leading hotel distribution and reservation companies has signed a deal that will enable Brazilian hotels to reach a global market.
CMNet has signed a "long-term distribution agreement" with global travel technology provider Worldspan, giving subscribes to the latter company access to more than 600 Latin American hotels.
Mike Parks, senior vice president of Worldspan, said: "We are delighted to partner with CMNet in expanding our database with hundreds of valuable Latin American properties.
"CMNet and Worldspan share a commitment to innovation and advancement for all participants in the Latin American travel business and this is the foundation for a fruitful partnership."
A CM Solucoes company, CMNet has been the leader in hotel management systems in Brazil for more than 20 years and generated one million overnight bookings for its hotel customers in 2006.
The Brazilian institute for tourism, Embratur, has reported that tourism in the country is growing at a rate of 7.2 per cent annually.
