Brazilian property could benefit from Games strategy
Those looking at Brazilian property could be interested to hear the nation’s government has revealed a new strategy it hopes will capture the Olympic Games for 2016, it has been reported.
If successful, Brazilian property could benefit from millions of visitors to the country as well as the infrastructure that would be improved and put in place before the event, according to Agencia Brasil.
Orlando Silva, minister of sports, told the news agency he believes Rio de Janeiro would benefit hugely from the legacy left by the Games if the city is successful in convincing the international sporting community it should host the event.
Mr Silva intends to go after the second option of votes in the hope Rio could get a majority of the 115 members of the International Olympic Committee.
Earlier in the month President Luis Inacio Lula da Silva gave his best wishes to China ahead of the Beijing Games which began this week.
