Brazilian property ‘ideal for retirees’
Property in Brazil presents a perfect place for people to retire to, one sector expert has claimed.
Industry analyst Margaret Summerfield said that Joao Pessoa in the north-east of the country is ideal for people looking to get away from it all, as it offers year-round sunshine.
She pointed out that the area is known as "the city where the sun rises first" and has over seven sq km of forest, providing a lush backdrop for Brazilian property owners.
"The crime rate in Joao Pessoa is the lowest of any state capital in Brazil and I felt completely safe here. The city is clean and has to rank as one of the most health-conscious places in Brazil," Ms Summerfield added.
Meanwhile, people looking to invest this year should consider Brazilian property, according to a blog on SeekingAlpha.com, which said that buying a home in the area is a safe bet in 2010.
