Brazilian property investment: Obama to visit Brazil
Those considering buying property for sale in Brazil could be interested to learn that Barack Obama has accepted President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva’s invitation to visit Brazil, it has been reported.
According to the Brazzil Magazine, sources close to President Lula confirmed the president-elect has considered that the global financial crisis cannot be solved by rich G-8 countries alone.
The report noted that Obama called the Brazilian president while he was on a visit to Italy prior to his G-20 trip to Washington this weekend.
"According to aides to the Brazilian leader, the American president elect showed he has been doing his homework on Brazil and recognizes the importance of the country to Latin America and the world," the publication reported.
Meanwhile, the website reported this week that Henrique Meirelles, the president of the Central Bank of Brazil called for coordinated action to address liquidity management across the world.
