Brazilian property investment to be boosted by weak euro conversion
Those who are planning on investing in foreign housing over the next 12 months should look at Brazilian property, according to an industry expert.
A report by Sheltered Offshore stated that because the pound is wallowing in "deep dark depths" against the euro, anything that is purchased on the continent with a weak currency is going to be much more expensive.
"Until just a few years ago we Britons were fairly blessed, we had a healthy currency and plenty of equity in many of our homes that we could cash in and turn into bricks and mortar anywhere abroad," the report stated.
Picking out destinations which have investment potential, Sheltered Offshore said that Brazilian property was "cheap as chips", with the standard of living also being "very high".
Samantha Gore, sales and marketing manager for UV10, recently said that small Brazilian villas were a popular way to invest in the property market.
