Brazilian property investors ‘prefer private outdoor space’
Brazilian property investors are looking for private outdoor space when looking for real estate in the country, according to an expert.
Vibecke Lykke Olsen, co-founder of Brazilian property developer ViaMar Groupo, says that tourists want to make the most of the tropical climate but prefer to have a secluded area to relax outside their accommodation.
She explains that this was a major consideration for her team during the designing of the Pipa Beleza Spa Resort in north-east Brazil.
Almost all of the properties in the development, which feature private outdoor gardens, roof terraces and Jacuzzis, have been sold ahead of the October completion date.
"The brief when we created the resort was to do something ’boutique’ so we’ve got a lot of attention to detail," Ms Olsen asserts.
Brazilian property specialist uv10 is also involved in the project, which was undertaken by an all-female team, including Norwegian team Marianne Beck, Emma Bjorke and Ms Olsen, plus local project manager Adriana Alves and uv10’s Samantha Gore.
