Brazilian property is ‘popular in the north-east’
People looking for a holiday home are finding that Brazilian property in the north-east of the country is exactly what they are looking for.
Glauco Chris Fuzinatto, director of UK and Ireland for the Brazilian Tourist Office, said that second homes or holiday hideaways are proving very popular in the northern part of the country, mainly thanks to its long, stunning coastline and ease of accessibility thanks to its proximity to Europe.
"Brazil is a really up-and-coming destination," he said, advising that if people are looking for advice on buying property in the country then they should contact its Chamber of Commerce.
"If you’re going to buy something abroad you have to make sure you buy from a genuine source," added the Brazilian property expert.
One area where Brazilian property is proving popular is Natal, in the north-eastern tip of the country, with its town hall claiming last year that demand for low and medium-income housing in the region had neared 70,000.
