Brazilian property opens door to ‘amazing culture’
People investing in Brazilian property will find that the country has "amazing" culture, thanks in small part to its food.
Regina Scharf, writing for Gringoes.com, said that Brazilian cuisine features a number of classic dishes which people investing in a holiday home in South America will be able to try out.
Cuscuz, the writer said, has the same origin as the Moroccan original, however the Brazilian version is very different.
Made from corn flour, it contains olives, tomatoes, eggs, peas and sardines, taking the look of a decorated cake.
Meat is also very big on the Brazilian menu, with the Barreado proving to be a very popular dish.
"This meat stew served with rice is prepared in a very peculiar way. It is cooked in a clay pot for around 20 hours – the time needed for the meat fibres to be dissolved in a thick sauce," she added.
Other favourites which people investing in Brazilian property will be able to try include Tacaca, Buchada and Pato no Tucupi.
The expert also recommended a number of drinks to wash down the meal with, including the world famous Caipirinha, which is a mix of sugar cane spirit, crushed lime, white sugar and ice.
