Brazil’s beaches are ‘among the world’s best’
People considering buying property in Brazil could be pleased to hear that two of the nation’s beaches are included in the world’s top ten, according to a leading lifestyle magazine.
News that Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana and Ipanema beaches were named amongst the world’s best beaches by Conde Nast Traveller could raise their profile and increase the number of tourists to the Latin American nation.
The publication described Copacabana beach as a "metropolitan beach" and rated it as the fifth best beach on the planet.
It continued that the beach extends "along 4.5 km of Rio de Janeiro’s coastline and is the perfect place to do some serious people watching while tanning".
The magazine rated Ipanema – number eight on its list – as "more stylish and chic [than Copacabana], attracting a crowd from the city’s richest areas".
Meanwhile, a Times columnist wrote last week that wealthy Brits are moving in on the nation’s coastline.
