Brazil’s biofuel industry ‘will benefit economy’
Brazil’s booming biofuel industry is helping to boost the economy and create new jobs, according to the nation’s president.
Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva made his comments at a ceremony to launch the new Volkswagen Golf in Sao Jose dos Campos in the state of Sao Paulo, reports online resource Xinhuanet.
If these biofuel advancements strengthen the nation’s economy it could be good news for people looking to buy property in Brazil.
Mr da Silva added that while the nation is currently recognised for its football and samba, in the future it will also be known in for the creativity involved in designing and producing cars.
In related news, President Lula recently stated that Brazil is "under control" regarding food costs, despite price hikes across the rest of the world.
Mercopress reports that speaking on his Breakfast with the President radio show, the leader said: "Brazil is ready to become the world’s main producer of food."
