Brazil’s fashion industry to attract tourism
Tourism chiefs in Brazil have unveiled plans this week to use the nation’s fashion industry to attract more tourists.
According to the country’s institute of tourism, Embratur, distributing trendy ecological bags stamped with pictures of Brazilian destinations throughout Paris this month will boost its tourism industry.
The Brazilian Association of Stylists is working in partnership with Embratur to distribute the items at various events on the international fashion calendar.
President of Embratur, Jeanine Pires, said: "Ecological and sustainable tourism is another trend which is here to stay.
"The sustainability of the activity is becoming an international requirement and ecological routes are abundant in Brazil, attracting constant interest among international tourists."
She added that the overall objective is to link tourism and fashion in order to publicise Brazilian destinations.
Growth in Brazil’s tourism industry may be good news for those considering buying a property in the country, as foreign tourists may seek holiday homes to rent during their visits.
