Car sales boom in Brazil
One global car manufacturing giant has announced record vehicle delivery numbers thanks to booming performance in Brazil.
Volkswagen announced it delivered a record number of 3.27 million of vehicles during the first half of 2008 showing growth of some 5.8 per cent from last year, despite the current financial climate.
Those considering buying property in Brazil might be interested to hear the company confirmed it enjoyed "strong growth" in Brazil where deliveries boomed by 21.8 per cent to 316,000comma hinting at economic buoyancy in the country.
Detlif Wittig, executive vice president for the firm’s sales and marketing department, said the organisation has enjoyed a focused growth strategy and achieved a marked increase in worldwide deliveries despite negative factors accumulating.
"The storm clouds are clearly gathering over the world’s automobile markets. Nevertheless … [the first half] of 2008 has clearly been better than general market trends and we have grown our market shares worldwide," he added.
Meanwhile, Brazilian property could be set to benefit from a new advertising campaign aimed at bringing an increased number of tourists to the Latin American nation.
