Darling to seduce the world?
One Brazilian lingerie manufacturer is expanding overseas, it has been reported.
Darling has boosted its internationalisation by expanding its portfolio of stores to Portugal and Canada, according to the Brazzil Magazine.
The firm is finalising plans for seven franchises in Portugal this year and is in negotiations for further shops in Canada by 2009.
Davis Castro, commercial director of the firm, paid tribute to the current success of Brazilian models in the fashion world saying it has helped the firm in its plans.
"We are very pleased and optimistic with regard to the opening of the first Darling Brazil shops abroad," he added.
People considering Brazilian property could be interested to hear the news which hints at economic resilience in the Latin American nation.
It was reported last week by Agencia Brasil that The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics’ Research Monthly Trade Data found sales have enjoyed record six-month booms for the past seven years, growing ten per cent in the first half of 2008.
