Embraer displays popular jet in Rio
Top Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer has unveiled a life-size model of its new jet in Rio de Janeiro.
As part of a tour the mock-up Phenom 100 executive jet went on display at Riana Taxi Aéreo hanger at Jacarepaguá Airport and will remain there until December 22nd.
The annual event is now in its second year and will tour the world showing aviation experts in the Americas, Europe and Australia how its jets look up-close.
Breno Corrêa, Embraer’s vice president of marketing and sales, said: "Nearly 700 jets from the Phenom family were sold in over 40 countries this year. In Brazil, sales have also been remarkably successful, because the jet meets the needs and expectations of this market.
"The Brazil Phenom Mock-up Tour was heavily visited in 2006 and is an excellent opportunity for the public to personally see the comfort and unparalleled space offered by the Phenom 100."
After Jacarepaguá Airport the tour will take the mock-up plane to Angra dos Reis Airport until December 30th after which it will move on to Belo Horizonte.
The Phenom 100 and the Phenom 300 jets are premium comfort aircraft with low operating costs which offer pilots and passengers a "comfort and style unseen previously" for this type of aircraft.
