The total value of the order now stands at $112.5 million (£56.25 million) and the aircraft will feature 100 seats in a dual-class layout with first delivery scheduled for 2010.
Mauro Kern, Embraer’s executive vice president, said: "It is always very satisfying to receive additional orders from established customers who operate our aircraft on a day-in, day-out basis.
"We are privileged to continue contributing to the renewal of Finnair’s fleet and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship between the airline and Embraer."
On December 31st 2007, Embraer had a workforce of 23,734 employees and orders worth a total of $18.8 billion (£9.4 billion).
In related news, independent property expert Amberlamb revealed this week that the outlook for Brazil’s property market is also positive.
According to Amberlamb, with Brazil’s currency riding higher than it has been since May 1999 property in Brazil has become a "must-have commodity" for everyone.
