Futsal World Cup heads to Rio
Those considering buying property for sale in Brazil could be interested to hear that Futsal World Cup kicks off in the nation at the end of the month, which could result in increased tourism in the country.
Libya and Egypt are the latest nations to qualify for the indoor football cup which will be held in the Brazilian capital Rio de Janeiro, it has been reported by the Brazil Arab News Agency.
Other nations to take part in the contest include Russia, Japan, Argentina, China and Italy.
Egypt and Brazil will face each other in a series of two friendlies leading up to the event.
The games will take place at Brasilia’s Nilson Nelson Gynmasium and in Rio’s Maracanazinho and the first round will kick off when the host nation take on Japan on September 30th.
Libya and Egypt qualify for their tournament after reaching the final of the African Futsal Cup.
According to theFA.com, futsal is recognised by FIFA and UEFA and players such as Luis Figo, Ronaldinho and Robinho developed their skills through playing the sport.
