Ilha Grande ‘has Brazilian property hideaways’
If blissful, peaceful locations are what Brazilian property investors are after, then they should look no further than Ilha Grande, according to an expert.
Steve McKenna, writing for the Sydney Morning Herald, recently visited the place, which is translated as the Big Island.
He said that with no cars clogging up the streets, it is the perfect place to get away from it all, with main necessities such as hotels, restaurants and cafes making it ideal for Brazilian property investment.
"Ilha Grande offers plenty of fabulous beaches, plus enough adventures to satisfy your inner wanderlust. A network of trails hugs both the coastline and delves into the mountainous interior, matted with lush Atlantic rainforest," he added.
Mr McKenna also commented that the island has plenty of history to explore, including myths and legends surrounding a shipwrecked pirate named Jorge Grego.
Last month, Malcolm Ray, from Edinburgh, said that his new Brazilian property near Pipa beach in the north-east tip of the country is in a "once in a lifetime location".
