Jordanian King ‘to talk business with Lula’
Those considering Brazilian property could be interested to hear the King of Jordan’s visit next month is aimed at strengthening ties with the Latin American nation, it has been reported.
King Abdullah II will attend meetings in Brasilia with president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and high-level government officials to sign cooperation agreements, according to the Brazil Arab News Agency (ANBA).
Ramez Goussous, Jordan’s ambassador to Brazil, told the ANBA: "The visit will be of utmost importance with regard to the strengthening of economic, commercial, political and diplomatic ties."
The diplomat added Abdullah II will visit Sao Paulo to meet with business representatives and will be accompanied by a delegation of Jordanian businessmen.
According to the news agency, the visit will begin on October 24th and last for two days.
Meanwhile, figures released by the Brazilian Central Bank reveal direct foreign investment for the first 23 days of September totalled some $5.250 billion (£2.7 billion) according to Brazzil Magazine.
