Legal firm offering Brazil real estate advice opens Sao Paulo office
Brazilian property investors could benefit from the expansion of Gibson Dunn and Crutcher legal firm, which is opening a new office in Sao Paulo.
The firm’s Latin America practice offers advice on Brazil real estate, as well as private equity, international arbitration, capital market transactions, mergers and acquisitions and tax matters.
Managing partner Ken Duran said the company’s clients in Brazil and across the US, Europe and Asia had encouraged it to expand in the country.
Kevin Kelley, co-chair of the firm’s Latin America Practice, added that they had wanted to open an office to give them "full-time physical presence in Brazil" for some time.
"Brazil is a growing and dynamic market," commented Lisa Alfaro, who will head up the Sao Paulo office.
Earlier this month, InterContinentalHotels Group (IHG) announced that it is to invest in Brazil real estate, expanding its presence in the country’s hospitality market.
IHG will open new hotels in 12 cities across Brazil, including Belem, Cuiaba, Maceio and Manaus.
