Microsoft offers free IT training in Brazil
Brazilian property investors could be interested to hear that Microsoft is offering millions of Sao Paulo residents free IT training, it has been reported.
The IT giant has teamed up with the state government to provide the free computer and email lessons to all students and teachers in the state, according to the Brazzil magazine.
An agreement which is aimed at promoting public education with the support of IT was signed by Microsoft president Steve Balmer and state governor Jose Serra at Sao Paulo’s Bandeirantes Palace.
More than 5 million people will benefit from the training and access to new digital technologies across the state.
In other news which might be of interest to people looking at property for sale in Brazil, the Brazil Arab News Agency reported that more than 200 firms will attend an oil and gas trade show in Sao Paulo this month.
The Santos Offshore 2008 show will take place at the Mendes Convention Centre from October 21st to 24th and organiser AGS3 claims deals to the tune of $100 million (£60 million) could be signed.
