Millions to be invested in Brazilian wind power
The Brazilian economy looks set to benefit from a huge investment in wind-energy projects, according to O Estado de S. Paulo.
Reporting the news, Bloomsberg explained that the 10 billion reais (£2.89 billion) will be spent on wind farms in northern Brazil, which could boost the local property market.
It has been suggested that Ceara Development Agency president Antonio Balhmann announced the plans for the Ceara and Rio Grande do Norte regions.
Meanwhile, the Brazilian fuel industry could also be aided by a new range of on-board riser management tools for off-shore drilling.
The tools were launched earlier this month in Rio de Janeiro by MCS and Furgo, which could lead to improved savings and safety for drilling in high currents or areas with deep water.
General manager of the MCS software division Patrick Scully explained the product is a "significant development in the evolution of real-time support tools for the offshore drilling industry".
