More flights to Brazil
Brazilian property could be set to enjoy new flight paths between the Latin American nation and the US, it has been reported.
On Friday (September 19th) Brazilian airline TAM will begin direct flights from Rio de Janeiro to Miami, according to Brazzil Magazine.
As of November 1st it will also fly a new directly from Rio to New York, and passengers on both routes will be able to fly in executive or economy class.
The first flight bound for Miami will depart the Rio’s Tom Jobim International Airport, at 11:15 pm UTC on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Paulo Castello Branco, commercial and planning vice-president for the airline, told the publication: "Rio de Janeiro’s market is strategic for TAM. Therefore we are increasingly investing in the services we provide.
"The Rio de Janeiro-Miami and Rio de Janeiro-New York flights demonstrate our commitment."
