New UK flights to Brazil
People considering buying property in Brazil could be interested to hear that a new flight route to the Latin American country has been opened at a London airport, it has been reported.
Air Europa is flying daily scheduled services from Gatwick Airport to Salvador De Bahia in a move that is expected to increase visitor numbers to the coastal city.
Salvador’s carnival is said to be the biggest street party in the world and attracts a reported two million people through 15 miles of its streets every year.
Maraa del Mar Ayudarte, the airline’s head of international sales, said: "The UK market to Latin America is booming and the specialist UK tour operators here are amongst the best in the world."
Meanwhile, earlier in the week it was announced that a world music festival will soon be descending on Sao Paulo.
Some of the biggest names in world music including Algerian singer-songwriter Souad Massi – who is described by the organisers as comparable to icons such as Tracy Chapman and Joan Baez – and Mauritia’s Daby Toure will perform at the Bridgestone Music Festival next month.
