New flight route between Brazil and Dubai
Emirates Airline is preparing to launch its new flight route between Brazil and Dubai.
The route from Sao Paulo to Dubai will be the first direct flight between South America and the Middle East and will begin operating next month.
Lasting 14 hours and 40 minutes, the flight will operate six times per week through the airline’s new Boeing 777-200LR aircraft.
Chairman of the airline, Sheik Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, said: "We believe this new direct air link will stimulate more trade and tourism exchange between these two thriving economies."
He added that Emirates believed the service will be popular with "business and leisure travellers" alike.
Additional air routes to the Middle East are likely to attract foreign investment in the emerging Brazilian property market, where buy-to-let ventures are currently being tipped as some of the most profitable real estate opportunities.
Canadian airline, Emirates, which employs 8,000 cabin crew in over 100 nationalities, intends to fly from to Dubai to a range of new destinations, including Venice, Newcastle, Toronto and Ahmedabad by the end of the year.
