New flight route between Sao Paulo and Los Angeles
A new flight route will be launched between Sao Paulo and Los Angeles, it has been announced.
Koran Air’s service will commence on June 2nd and is the direct result of the mayor of Los Angeles’ trade mission to Asia in 2006.
"We are excited by the new service to Sao Paulo and look forward to its start this summer," Mayor Villaraigosa said.
Property investors considering buying real estate in Brazil may be pleased by the news, as it will improve the nation’s aviation links with other countries.
Jong Eun Lee, Korean Air’s regional vice-president for the Americas, said: "Korean Air’s non-stop flight between LAX and Sao Paulo is a key route for people who want to conduct business in the world’s second largest city."
A Boeing 77-200 aircraft with 260 seats in three classes will operate the flight route on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays, each week.
Departures are scheduled to leave LAX Airport at 19:30 local time and arrive in Sao Paulo at 11:00 local time.
The return flight will leave Sao Paulo at 13:00 local time, arriving in Los Angeles at 21:30 local time.
