Oil industry heads to Rio
Brazilian property could benefit from an annual oil industry meeting taking place in the Latin American nation’s capital Rio de Janeiro, it has been reported.
The 14th Rio Oil & Gas trade fair will bring more than 1,000 exhibitors from 20 countries worldwide to the city, according to the Brazil Arab News Agency.
Delegates will also have the opportunity to peruse trade stands as well as attend roundtables with hundreds of small and medium-sized businesses.
According to the organisers this year’s theme is 21st Century Oil and Gas Industry: Technological Challenges.
They add that 35,000 visitors should attend the event – which runs until September 18th – at the Riocentro exhibition centre.
Among the enterprises taking part are state oil firm Petrobras, Shell, O&G, El Paso and Acergy International.
The news agency reported yesterday that the Futsal World Cup kicks off in Rio at the end of the month, which could benefit Brazilian property through increasing visitor numbers to the country.
