Property in Brazil ‘ideal for retiring expats’
People looking to retire abroad are advised to consider buying property in Brazil, as the country offers a cheaper cost of living, according to an expert.
Expat advice website Shelter Offshore recommends the South American nation for Brits thinking about moving to a place in the sun, saying it is one of the countries that is not affected by the strong euro.
It describes the Brazilian property market as one of the new kids on the overseas real estate block and suggests that pension income can go further in the country for those who are entering retirement.
The website suggests that lifestyle is a major advantage of moving overseas to somewhere like Brazil: "The number one pro has to be the weather. Let’s face it, no one lives in Great Britain for its climate!"
Meanwhile, Michael Sutton, reporter for Write About Property, has said that the Brazil real estate market offers "very lucrative and solid" investment opportunities.
