Sao Paulo has ‘highest property prices’ in Latin America
Sao Paulo has the highest property prices in Latin America, according to new figures.
A report released by Argentinean real estate consulting firm, Reporte Inmobiliario, has named Sao Paulo as the largest city in Latin America with the highest prices in commercial and residential real estate in the region.
The findings indicate a strengthening in the Brazilian real estate market, which is good news for early birds buying cheap property in the country at the moment.
Argentinean capital Buenos Aires came second followed by Santiago in Chile and Montevideo in Uruguay.
Prices in Sao Paulo for a garden tower terrace range from $3,000 (£1,500) to $5,000 (£2,500) per square metre compared with a Montevideo where a comparable property costs in the region of $1,200 (£600) per square metre, reports Brazzil Mag.
Now has been highlighted as a good time to invest in Brazilian property as expert researchers for the UK-based Property Investor and Homebuyer Show tipped the emerging country as poised on the verge of a property boom at the show this year.
