Sao Paulo ‘the place to be’
For people looking to buy property in Brazil beyond the traditional tourist areas, the vibrant city of Sao Paulo may have a lot to offer.
Carolina Parra of Sao Paulo-based musical outfit CSS told the AFP that the city is the "economic centre of the country".
Describing it as a "huge industrial town", Ms Parra said Sao Paulo is "culturally different to Rio or Bahia".
According to the news provider, the city is earning a reputation within Brazil for its unique music scene.
Music fans, it seems, are likely to find lots on offer in the city which fellow CSS band member Ana Rezende said is "full of opportunities".
"For young people, it’s easier to find new foreign music in Sao Paulo than anywhere else in the country," she remarked.
The state of Sao Paulo accounts for just three per cent of the Brazilian territory, yet is home to 40 million people, Aboutsaopaulo.com reports.
It is also the state which attracts the most foreign visitors, the site claims.
