Second sporting ace opts for Brazil
A second sporting ace has opted to set up shop in the north-east of Brazil this week.
Following David Beckham’s announcement last week that he is to open a football academy in the Latin American nation now Formula One star, Rubens Barrichello has revealed his plans for a new motor sports attraction.
The Rubens Barrichello Driving Experience will be located in the region of Natal, with the aim of setting a high standard of sporting interest in the area.
All ages ranges will be welcomed at the centre, which will include a four-wheel driving experience as well as a Barrichello Auto Arena go-kart racing experience for families.
Barrichello and Beckham’s decision to invest in Brazil will help raise the nation’s international profile and may attract property investors to the area.
Earlier this month Samantha Gore, sales and marketing director of Brazil real estate specialist uv10, explained how sporting investments in the area may have a positive effect on the local property market.
She said: "Although some might think that a soccer academy offers a tenuous link to the property market, tourism and property investment are close cousins, each having a huge knock–on affect on the other."
