Tourism body to invest million in new Sensational Brazil campaign
Brazil’s tourism body Embratur has announced it is to invest millions of pounds on a global campaign to advertise the country’s attractions.
The campaign will run under the slogan Brazil Sensational and will focus on potential holidaymakers in the UK, France, Canada, Spain, Italy, Germany and the US.
It will run until June 2009 and showcase the experiences Brazil offer tourists, including culture, food, the rainforests, adventure tourism and beaches.
Commenting on the scheme, Luiz Barretto, Brazil’s minister of tourism, said: "The objective is to create higher demand for Brazilian destinations and support the products and services within those destinations.
"We want to share the beauty and wonders of Brazil with more tourists, encourage them to stay longer and become acquainted with new places."
It was previously reported by themovechannel.com that Brazil’s tourism board is to visit the UK in the coming weeks to teach Brits about the benefits of buying property in Brazil.
