Webjet offers new Brazilian flights
Webjet will begin offering travellers regular Saturday connections between Brazilian cities this month.
The move reflects the Australian tour operator’s support of the diversification in Brazil’s airline network and offers tourists better options for travelling around the country.
Morning flights will operate between Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Natal and Fortaleza and again in the reverse order at the end of the day.
A new service is also being offered between Salvador and the south of Brazil, where more freight routes are planned in the future.
The news comes as fellow Australian travel operator BFirst Travel announced this week its new partnership with Gol Airlines, making the Sydney-based company the first travel operator in Australia to sell the Brazilian airline’s flights.
It marks a shift across the tourism industry in recognising Brazil as a major up-and-coming holiday destination, following the strong tourist links the country has recently formed with Japan and South Korea.
