Brazil: a ‘popular emerging property market’
Brazil is one of the "most popular" emerging property markets, say leading property experts.
According to the Association of International Property Professionals (AIPP), Brazil is "fast becoming one of the property world’s talking points."
Property expert Nicky Segal confirmed the AIPP’s views: "The new up-and-coming, emerging markets that we are selling a lot of properties in are areas like the north east area of Brazil, around Natal and Forteleza and those types of areas.
"The people in power are doing everything to make it easier for clients to purchase [there]. They want to capitalise on the fact that people want beach plots – and these beaches are beautiful."
A recent survey for BBC programme, The Truth About Property, revealed that 53 per cent of British people consider property a far safer place for their money than banks.
Coupled with this, research by Yorkshire Bank found that around two thirds of Brits would like to buy a place in the sun, considering it a sensible long-term investment.
