Brazil and South Africa hook up
Brazil and South Africa have linked up to share experiences on the route to hosting the World Cup tournaments.
Embratur – the Brazilian tourism ministry – revealed it has also been discussing the opportunities ahead of the tournament in 2014.
It met with representatives from the African province of Gauteng and Fifa contractor – AC Match Services – who is providing accommodation and logistical support for the African Cup.
Luiz Barretto, minister of tourism, said infrastructural investments will be directed at specific needs.
The tourism ministry is already working at the qualification and training of people working in the cities set to benefit from increased tourism, he added.
