Brazil ‘has potential to become a superpower’
Brazil has now turned a corner and now has the economic potential to become a world superpower, it has been claimed.
Paulo Prada, in an article for the Wall Street Journal, noted that the country has the biggest economy in Latin America, citing research from Goldman Sachs which noted that by 2050, it will most likely move into fourth place in the world.
Ricardo Amorim, a well-known financial consultant in Sao Paulo, told the publication: "There’s too much good happening at the moment for the country not to take advantage of it.
"Brazil has never had as much opportunity as it will have in the years ahead."
Mr Prada noted that there are some problems that need to be sorted out, but the potential is evident for everyone to see.
A recent report by CompaniesandMarkets.com recently noted that the Brazilian economy has plenty going for it with bank lending to continue to be a driving force behind the country’s success.
