Brazil music festival in London
Brazilian music will be celebrated on the banks of the River Thames as part of the Coin Street Festival, it has been reported.
The Brazilian Tourist Office has announced plans for a free festival to celebrate 50 years of bossa nova at London’s South Bank, according to Easier Travel.
People interested in property for sale in Brazil are likely to be among those drawn to the South Bank on July 6th to enjoy the sounds of the Latin American nation’s bossa nova.
The report revealed more than 100,000 Brazilians are currently living in London and the two-day festival would be a great chance for them to let others learn about their culture.
Acclaimed French act Nouvelle Vague will headline the festival among Zeep and BBC Radio 1 DJ Eddie Parker.
Chris Fuzinatto, Brazilian Tourist Office director for UK and Ireland, told the publication: "This is an important opportunity to highlight Brazil’s heritage and research tells that Brazil’s main attraction for the great British public is its rich culture."
The UK is one of the Brazil’s best performers in terms of tourism – "but there is of course room for this to grow", he added.
Nubricks.com revealed last week that a recent Expedia report found – scrap Latin America is at the forefront of a "new era for tourism".
