Brazil named top holiday destination
Brazil has been named as a top holiday and property investment location by a leading property expert.
Investors are warned against "over-hyped Euro markets" in favour of emerging markets where higher profit margins are more likely.
Anthony Fernandes, managing director of a major overseas property investment firm, said: "In all destinations it is easy to buy ‘cheap’, but that doesn’t mean it’s a good investment. You have to consider the basics; location, accessibility and amenities.
"[Consider] what infrastructural improvements have been approved for the area and what your future exit strategy is. Natal in Brazil does it for me. I can clearly see the potential and the growth; it is just a matter of time."
Natal, which has recently been named as the "safest city in Brazil", is located in the north-eastern region of the country and is home to a selection of golden beaches.
A major airport is planned for the region, which will be the world’s fourth largest, and is due for completion in 2010.
