Brazil real estate investors ‘could benefit from wind power’
Brazil real estate investors may want to extend their portfolios to include wind turbines, as one expert asserts that green power is the way forward for the South American country.
Ronan McMahon, writing for NuWire Investor, says that while people usually go for the stock market or Brazilian property, there is also money to be made from wind power by purchasing a plot of land suitable for a turbine and leasing it to an intermediary.
He claims that savvy buyers will achieve an annualised yield of up to 18.8 per cent by going through this process.
Mr McMahon suggests that this is particularly useful for Brazilian property investors with a knowledge of the north-eastern city of Fortaleza, as the stretch of coast in this area is particularly windy.
Meanwhile, Pat Creevy, managing director at Charles Oliver, recently said that the north-eastern city of Natal presents an ideal investment opportunity for Brazil real estate buyers.
