Brazil real estate market has ‘tremendous potential’
The Brazil real estate market has "tremendous potential" as falling interest rates, political stability and a solid currency combine to create favourable investment conditions, according to experts.
Thomas McDonald, chief strategic officer with US giant Equity International, told Bloomberg that the company is looking to move into the "relatively immature" market for financing for commercial property in Brazil.
He said that some of the "most interesting" investments are currently taking place in the South American country.
"I am very bullish on real estate," Alexander Kazan, vice president of Latin America equities at New York-based brokerage Auerback Grayson, told the news provider.
"With long-term rates trending lower and a housing deficit, there is tremendous potential for real estate in Brazil. I would look into the commercial real estate market," he added.
Meanwhile, Brazilian property company Souza Tassini has highlighted the state of Minas Gerais as one area which has great potential for growth in the real estate market.
