Brazil targets Middle East investment
Investment in the Middle East has been highlighted as a growing trend supporting the country’s growing economy, it has emerged.
Brazil’s tile industry has forged strong links with the Middle East in recognition of the region’s economic importance, said Antonio Carlos Kieling, director of Anfacer – the Brazilian Association of Cermaic Tile Manufacturers – as reported by ArabianBusiness.com.
"Nowadays, the Middle East represents a clear growing market for construction work and the design industry," Mr Kieling added.
Offering solutions that could include Brazil property, the nation’s tile industry is also among the most important in the world and has good potential for global expansion, he suggested in the article.
Mr Kieling’s comments come as Anfacer has reportedly announced its sponsorship of Revestir, a coverings and surface materials tradeshow in Latin America.
"Revestir has as a goal to offer to worldwide market and architecture and design professionals the best of tile industry, putting together the brand and quality of Brazilian industry," he stated.
Recent reports have suggested that the Bank of Brazil is looking to Dubai in the Middle East for new investment opportunities and could open a representation office in the United Arab Emirates city.
