Brazil ‘to grow faster than global economy in 2010′
Brazil is set to grow faster than the global economy next year thanks to a number of measures it adopted to counter the financial crisis, according to a finance expert.
Analysis released by the International Monetary Fund also showed that Brazil is ahead of its Latin American counterparts when it comes to a resumption of economic growth, which could provide a boost to Brazilian real estate owners.
Murilo Portugal, the fund’s assistant director, said that thanks to the strength of its economy, its solid banks and the economic policies that Brazil adopted to fight the recession, they are now in a position of strength.
The report also revised its growth forecast for the world economy in 2010 from 2.5 per cent to three per cent.
Recently analysts expanded their projections for the gross domestic product output of Brazil next year, lifting it from 4.2 per cent to 4.5 per cent. Only a month ago this figure stood at four per cent, showing people interested in Brazilian property that the country’s economy is steadily moving in the right direction.
